American Idol finalist Kristy Lee Cook has signed with
19 Recordings/Arista Nashville. Her first single,
15 Minutes of Shame, arrives Aug. 11, and the album
follows in the fall. The album is being produced by
Brett James, who co-wrote Jesus, Take the Wheel for
former Idol champion Carrie Underwood. The signing
marks the return for Cook, 24, to Arista Nashville.
She was signed to the label as a teen but dropped
before recording anything. Cook will record her album
while touring with American Idols Live, which kicks off
Tuesday in Glendale, Ariz., and runs through Sept. 13.

其實這並不令人驚訝，正如我們之前都討論過的。
他原本就跟高塔納許維爾簽過約，這次只是回娘家，
而以 AI 過往參賽者在鄉村音樂界的成績，
廚嬸的條件並不比賣七十萬的裝傻妞差，
她應該很有機會取得不錯的成績。
她的單曲 8/11 就要發行，巡迴時也會一邊錄專輯。
大家可以猜猜看 19 還會簽下誰。
根據其他參賽者的訪問，白雪顯然沒得到 19 的青睞，
卡莉也看不出來會被簽，捲頭的訪問也完全沒提到唱片約的問題（嘆）。
只有澳男的訪問提到正在和一些作曲家合作，並且將在巡迴時錄音，
這種跡象看起來是會跟 19 簽約。
S5 中 19 簽過四名（Taylor、Kate、Kellie、Chris），
所以今年也會簽四個？

Q: What's next for you? Will there be a record deal?
A: There are definitely certain things I have to abide
with my American Idol contract. I won't be signing anything
until three months after the show is over. That doesn't
mean I'm not looking ahead preparing for the future. The point of
doing the show was not just to be on TV but to launch into a real career.
