" I saw MBV in Toronto twice in 1992. At the end of the second show, they
played YMMR's noise bit for 17 minutes. I was standing right up against the
left speaker stack with a big grin on my face the whole time. It was so
loud, it was like sitting inside a jet engine. Colm saw my crazy smile and
broke out laughing as he was playing.
(我敢打賭他一定on drug or sumthin..)
And all through that, there were the high-powered strobes flashing, as well
as a big film projection of magenta polka-dots on a yellow background
zooming in and out really fast. You didn't need acid that night. MBV live
was like participating in a psychedelic S&M show .
Even attempting to repeat this would be cheesy; and how could you top it? "
