The January 2002 MOJO (issue 98 for those counting along at home) is out. The teenage George Harrison beams from the cover, and features in several tributes inside. The albums of the year list puts Bob in No. 2, behind Super Furry Animals. Of the Dylan album MOJO write: "Four years after Time Out Of Mind comes another gem - a rootsy, bluesy affair on which Dylan's ragged, authoritative voice (sometimes drifting into an easy-going croon) is backed by the fine band from last year's tour. Bob calls is his 'greatest hits album. Without the hits - not yet anyway'." The top ten goes: 1. Super Furry Animals, "Rings Around The World" 2. Bob, "Love And Theft" 3. The Strokes, "Is This It" 4. Gillian Welch, "Time (The Revelator)" 5. Rufus Wainwright, "Poses" 6. Sparklehorse, "It's A Wonderful Life" 7. Bjork, "Vespertine" 8. Nick Lowe, "The Convincer" 9. Ryan Adams, "Gold" 10. Radiohead, "Amnesiac" Lucinda Williams comes in at No. 16. In Box Sets and Compilations we find: 1. Buffalo Springfield, Box Set 2. Charley Patton, "Screamin' and Hollerin' the Blues" 3. Various, "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" OST On another Bob-related note Gillian Welch lists "Blood On The Tracks" as her all-time favourite album.
