[創作] The Butterfly
When the spring laid her kiss
On the crimson roses
Whose buds were unfolded
To Apolo's illumination,
I was still an egg so weak, fragile
And folded to nourish my expectation
Of love and liberation.
When the summer gently coaxed
The violets to capture your eyes
And minds, I was an ugly caterpillar
Trying to drive you away –
To test the strength of your faith
To love me, when beauty was
The language I failed to speak.
When the autumn started to
Collect every fallen leave to
Brew the ambrosia of maple syrup,
I was nestled in the cocoon
Of your caring endearments that
Helped me through nights
Of storms thirsty for plights.
When the winter awoke
The cherry blossoms waiting
To knit a wreath of celestial white,
I became a beautiful butterfly,
Ready to dance in the sky and
Watch clouds rolling by –
With you – all my life.
