有什麼曲子能讓你從椅子上跳起來, 心想"Lou Reed幾時寫過這麼棒的歌?" 我的首選是 The Rose of Avalanche 的 L.A. Rain (1985) http://www.myspace.com/roseofavalanche or 3f2uF or 782sM 主唱老練的talking-singing, 藥味刺人的噪音吉他, 讓這首七分半鐘中板曲子從頭到尾充滿張力. 寫的是低沈到底的落魄和分離, 但整體卻相當大氣; 最後浮起猛刷的鋼弦吉他, 彷彿要把聽者的心神攫入那漫佈L.A.的大雨中 I saw my girl as she's walking down the road She looked at me and she started to bleed She's touched the smoke and it's gone right to her head She fought with Lucy and she had got thrown out of bed I'm in the ghetto and I looked right in her eyes She looked at me and she started to cry Know why?
