Farwell, my youth! In a single sky only a single season is necessary heavy books, those few years tinged with the blood of a lark A thicket of sprouting trees emerge within me I know the light of wind, I will no longer sing of flowers, I will no longer sing of birds and lamps and dead friends who refer to the water of spring as the homeland. Then, in the woods I will contemplate the new blood of a stranger, Oh raspberry, dormitory, oh my innocent youth, Farwell! In the glittering season, who sang of that sail? O time that passes the short-lived me! Twenty years old, I was born in May I trample leaves and call out to sprouting trees. Now is the time, the dawn of my time I wave my hand timidly to the birds.
