Lennox Confirms North American, European Shows
Annie Lennox's touring commitments in support of her
forthcoming album, "Bare," will commence March 26 in Miami.
The 2002 Billboard Century Award honoree will play 18 dates
in North America, and has confirmed three European shows: May
23 in Zurich, and June 6-7 in London.
The shows will feature no opening act. According to a
statement, the upcoming concerts "will have a uniquely
intimate atmosphere, reflecting her incredible repertoire
from both her solo career and [as a member of the]
Eurythmics."
As first reported here last week, "Bare" is due June 10 in
the U.S. via J Records, and a day earlier worldwide via BMG.
The album is the follow-up to 1995's "Medusa" and 1992's
"Diva," both released via Arista. Those album have sold 1.8
million and 2.6 million copies in the U.S., according to
Nielsen SoundScan, and a total of 12 million worldwide,
according to J.
