五顆星。自從《陰森林》那優美委婉的田園旋律後，就一直盼著James Newton Howard和奈沙瑪蘭的再度合作；雖然還聽不到《水中的女人》，至少還有Filmtracks上的樂評可以稍稍解渴： http://www.filmtracks.com/titles/lady_water.html (放心，沒有提到重要劇情。) 超越JNW和奈沙瑪蘭合作的前幾部作品： "While maintaining similarities to the previous scores that Howard has provided for Shyamalan, Lady in the Water exceeds those others in intelligence, delicacy, harmony, and thematic integrity. In fact, in every regard, Lady in the Water is not only far more powerful and alluring than its predecessors, but is an outstanding stand-alone score." 令人著迷： "alluring"、"enticing"、"...by the end of your first listen to Lady in the Water, you'll be hooked." 2006上半年最棒的一張配樂： "Howard's score has everything you've ever wanted to hear from an intelligent fantasy score and has, in the process of bring the Blue World to life, become the best score of 2006 through the year's first half." 誇完JNW還不忘要酸一下Hans Zimmer的神鬼奇航二 XD ： "In its vast complexity of layers, themes, and orchestration, Lady in the Water is the polar opposite of the concurrent Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest by Howard's good friend Hans Zimmer.
