I haven't thought of that I can really join a Mayhem concert in my life. Black metal has developed for years, but only a few can still reveal the precision, speed and violence in music; for some black metal bands today just become jokes, a " fuck-off today's black metal" stuff that sucks. This is the expectation I hold for this concet. In fact, I listened to Mayhem's live in Leipzig again and again on the high way. I kept imagining what this concert would be. Bloody moshpits? pighead? never-seen walls of amplifiers? a once-in-a-life-time music orgasm or the other way round? Anyway, the show was about to begin when I kept dreamimg. You began with Hellhammer's blasting solos, and I fucking liked that! This is my favourite intro type. Touche ab initio, don't save the best for last. Funeral fog came when I tried to survive the attack. The amplifiers used in this concert were awesome! They were the best I saw during the last 2 years. And I would say that the entire PA and sound control were damn good. Its too good that I sometimes forgot to see the concert. I closed my eyes to enjoy the impact and got overwhelmed. Maybe it's because I stood near the center that I would have such a strong feeling. Yet I could really tell the difference. The sound charging toward me was much stronger than that in the CD. When I shifted to Hellhammer's blasts, I was pounded and crushed; when it's Attila's screams, my soul seemed to be avulsed by the Ripper yet I'm so willing to give it to him. Sorry I forgot mentioning the songs, I knew they were the songs that I'm familiar with; but in a tight-knit concert like this, I just wanted to be taken and possessed. ( And thanks TRA for your great efforts)! I noticed an accident. When Hellhammer's playing, did you break the sticks? If it's true, then hail to thee! I saw there's a stick or something coming out from the throne ( that's what I saw, I'm not sure in fact) yet you still finished the fill-in parts as if nothing happened. In my eyes, that's a complicated ensemble, if you did that with broken sticks or even with one, I salute to you! I don't think anyone can do that in that situation with ease. I banged my head all through the concert 'till it's almost dropped. My friends and I really enjoyed the concert and kept talking about it with much excitement. You showed us what a black metal concert should be-dark, brutal, beast-like, extreme, captivating, professional, doom, desperate, aggressive, blashephemous, gigantic and exausting-just like this one. It's cold and rainning when we drove black. The echoes of your music and thin mist on the car window were the best companies in my dreams. When we back in my friend's studio in the graveyard, it's 2:30 in the morning. It's an open farm in front of me and several tombs behind me. The fog was getting bigger and I found a little difficult to see the moon.
