理想國(the republic)的443c最後開始有講到：
'But the truth is that although justice apparently was something of this
kind, it was not concerned with the external performance of a man' own func
-tion, but with the internal performance of it, with his true self and his
own true function, forbidding each of the elements within him to perform
task other than its own, and not allowing the classes of thing within his
soul to interfere with one another.(443c)
ignorance, in its turn, being the opinion which directs the unjust action.'

'injustice, on this definition, must be some sort of civil war between these
three elements...(這裡三元素是指desire, courage, ration) (444b)
回到前面一點的433b:
that doing one's own job, and not trying to do other people's jobs for them
is justice.(433b)
可以看到Plato的正義觀基本上是一種各部分相互協調、各司所職的狀況。
對於個人的靈魂而言是慾望、勇氣、理智三部分相互調和，這樣的正義是作為
人內在的品德（靈魂內部）。
而放到國家上，便是每個部分的人各司所職，農工就種田做工（代表慾望的部分）
士兵就護衛疆土（代表勇氣的部分），護國者/哲學家皇帝則負責領導指揮整個國家
的運行（代表理智的部分）
