Billboard has confirmed that the 20-year-old singer has suffered a hemorrhaged vocal chord, and has been ordered by doctors to stop performing immediately. Grande posted on Twitter on Wednesday (Sept. 11) that she was spending her day off by taking "vocal rest and watching movies in," and followed that up with the tweet, "For those of u asking about my voice I screamed too much at my party totally irresponsible but it's better now, thanks for the well wishes." Grande certainly has a lot to scream about: "Yours Truly" debuted with 138,000 copies sold, according to Nielsen SoundScan, making the Nickelodeon star the 15th solo female artist to have their first album bow atop the Billboard 200 chart. The album success follows the chart run of her single "The Way," featuring Mac Miller, which debuted at No. 10 on the Hot 100 chart last spring. Grande's next scheduled performance is on Sept. 22, in New Albany, Ohio.
