Ed Westwick ("Gossip Girl") is in final negotiations to play Tybalt in
Italian filmmaker Carlo Carlei's adaptation of William Shakespeare's Romeo
and Juliet, reports Variety.
Hailee Steinfeld will play Juliet and Holly Hunter is starring as the Nurse,
who effectively raised Juliet and serves as a go-between for her and Romeo,
who has not yet been cast. Tybalt is Juliet's hot-tempered cousin.
Julian Fellowes (Gosford Park) wrote the script. Ileen Maisel and Mark
Ordesky are producing with Gabriele Muccino and Fellowes.
