Paleo-Techno: SOMA & TOSKA 是第二場 Paleo Techno 辦的活動 is the second installment of a series of events by Paleo-Techno - 江山藝改所 (新竹市江山街13號至15號間小巷內/近城隍廟) - 2016/06/18(六) 19:30-22:30 - _TECHNO | DUB TECHNO | AMBIENT_ - $200 with a free drink | $150 with a free drink [Student ID] - 瞭解更多： GET TO KNOW THE ARTISTS SOMA ‧https://soundcloud.com/dj-soma 自幼喜愛聽音樂並向周遭人們分享音樂；也立志想當DJ。DJ職涯始於2009年，在barcode 駐場一年；而後也在其它店家駐店經驗以及連續兩屆pioneer東亞盃比賽入圍，也受邀於其他單位[太初有舞]、 [綠色狂喜]以及其它活動單位演出，並於2012協同創立[耕聲人]與[巴比倫之聲]單位，結合社會運動的概念去延伸環境議題和改善關懷；用正面反省的角度去思考「音樂，除了只是音樂還能做些什麼？」。Soma主要喜愛呈現的音樂是Techno藉由強而有力的工業聲音，反應著許久社會問題更希望能在台上放這種型態音樂時，讓台下人群更能思考音樂所傳達的力量和思議。 TOSKA ‧https://www.residentadvisor.net/dj/toska ‧https://soundcloud.com/toska-tw 來自新竹的TOSKA, 是從2014年就開始在台北的地下場地 Korner 放techno, dub techno, 和ambient. 他熱愛各種不同的實驗電子音樂。他每個月固定ADULT GAME CLUB 或ALL NIGHT活動也會放industrial和minimal wave。 TOSKA is the DJ pseudonym for Marco Hsu. The name is borrowed from Russian and roughly translates to "a vague restlessness, mental throes, yearning" ... The Hsinchu native began DJing roughly eight years ago under the moniker MARCO. At the time, he was attracted to the dark melodies found in progressive trance. His musical tastes also spanned to include tribal, breakbeat, and other experimental forms of electronic music. Naturally, his DJ persona grew an affection for dark techno and dub techno record collecting. His appreciaton for music from various genres has helped to shape his DJ sets, which have been known to include powerful mixing of techno, dub techno, industrial, and minimal wave. He has been DJing under the name TOSKA at KORNER in Taipei, Taiwan since 2014.
