不知道還有多少人還記得他們，巴西歌手Isabel Monteiro的Drugstore，是我最早認識的dreampop樂隊之一，著迷於Mazzy Star的同一時期，有他們兩張聽了N遍的專輯，都是很長一段時間奉為珍寶的唱片。今天聽前衛花園唱片代理的Fiel Garvie 「Leave Me Out of This」(2003) 時，就回想起Drugstore的女主唱，那沙啞而痛撤心扉的歌聲。 1998年第二張專輯 White Magic for Lovers裡，記得那時最引人注目的是Radiohead主唱參與的"El President"，而我最喜歡的歌曲一直是"Sober"，具有Radiohead在「Bend」時期以及Oasis在1995年黃金時代的吉他風格，情緒強烈而百聽不厭，前一陣子版上在選Britpop代表歌曲，我推薦這首歌。 Sober /Drugstore Well I'm So scared I might fall down I'm feeling sober now But I still can't feel the ground Tried I tried to make demands But it's not that hard to sense That things are different now Now that I don't feel so lonesome Anymore Feel so lonesome Now that I am not afraid At all If you put your arms around me I won't fall Now that I am not afraid At all But time It takes time to make amends Though it's so hard to make sense ’Cos I'm feeling sober now But I'm Too small to take defence Though it's not that hard to sense That things are different now Now that I don't feel so lonesome Anymore Feel so lonesome Now that I am not afraid At all If you put your arms around me I won’t fall Now that I am not afraid At all At all Na-na-na Na-na-na-na-na Na-na-na I’m not afraid At all... -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 210.58.218.207
