Proceeds from "Be Still My Soul" - a never before released Sheryl Crow track - will be donated to the Sheryl Crow Fund in Honor of Kent Sexton at the Scleroderma Research Foundation to help find a cure for scleroderma. Kent Sexton was a treasured family friend of Sheryl's, and he suffered terribly from this disease until his passing this year. Sheryl had supported the Scleroderma Research Foundation even before Kent was diagnosed. Now, more than ever, she is dedicated to finding a cure and raising awareness of this little known but very deadly disease. Scleroderma is a chronic, degenerative, frequently fatal disease that strikes 300,000 Americans, 80% of them women. Characterized by vascular deterioration, tissue loss, and hardening of the body’s connective tissue, scleroderma is most serious when it affects internal organs such as the lungs, kidneys and the digestive system, causing serious complications and often death.
