Well, there's a few bits here and there where they MAY have left
the galaxy.
There's episode in TOS where the people got turned into those
dodecahedrons... The Enterprise left the galaxy for the andromeda
Galaxy.
And in TNG, the episode with the Traveller, they definitely went
very very very far.
