Magnus Lindberg - Clarinet Concerto
with Kari Kriikku, the Finnish RSO and
conductor Sakari Oramo on Ondine.
Szymanowski - Piano Works
with Piotr Anderszewski on Virgin Classics.
Wagner - Siegfried
with conductor Joseph Keilberth at the Bayreuth Festival
on Testament.
Other honours included
Lifetime Achievement Award presented to Sir Charles Mackerras.
The Artist of the Year Award
was given to Canadian pianist Angela Hewitt.
The Classic FM's Listeners' Choice Award
was given to young trumpeter Alison Balsom, signed to EMI.
The Editor's Choice Award
went to Gerald Finley's Stanford Songs of the Sea with BBC NOW,
conducted by Richard Hickox and released by Chandos.
Label of the Year in Association with SFH UK Ltd
was named as Virgin Classics
