Hermione in costume singing through the noise.
A fever dream flown in to calm the boys.
No magic in the jungle, just shadows and smoke.
The heat's a curse, the gunshots choke.
Out here in N where men lose their minds.
Harry's hunting a ghost through the vines.
Dumbledore with the sun in his hair.
Loves the smell of napal in the morning air.
He turns to long bottom. Voice sworn and dry.
Take the broomstick. Charlie don't fly.
Snape watching Harry as the tree lines burn.
Saying hope is a habit you will soon unlearn.
Back on the river with nowhere to run.
Harry and the darkness becoming one.
No magic in the jungle, just shadows and smoke.

The boat trips past outposts rotting in rain.

The whispers say Colonel Voldemort's gone insane.

The jungle takes what made you care.
Harry's got a thousand yard stare.

It just waits for the next young man.
