I have gotten these messages forwarded. I'm sorry that all these confused messages to be sent to you guys. Since that hurts our company and event's reputation, I have to reply you. Like our staff has told you, this 228 event is an annual festival from 2000, and we have similiar but still different goals each year. We care about Freedom, Human Right, Democracy, and we cherish what we have now in Taiwan. Recently years, we donate some of the profit to Taiwan Association for Human Right, Asian Democracy Forum in Thailand, and Amnesty International to support all works for human right in the whole world. This event has never supported racist. We don't hate Chinese. When we said "Say Yes To Taiwan & Say No To China" in 2000~2005, we have explained clearly that we were saying yes to the democratic society of Taiwan and saying no to the tyrannical system of China. It's just the common value of the citizens in the whole world. We support values and of course, each artists have their own political position, we can't and don't want to control that. It was very sensitive in 2004, because it was very close to the President Election Date which is March.20 that year. So the artists that year didn't hide their attitude and speak loud about who they supported. In the other years, we have never had this kind of problem and even that year, I don't think it's wrong that citizens speak loud about what ideal they support. Please notice that we have never forced any artist who didn't support the ideals of the event to speak something they didn't like. About the hong kong band, King Ly Chee, there is another long story, it's not that simple, and there will be a totally different story spoken from the staffs who took care of them that year. I don't want to confuse you with it. This year, this event is talking about Transitional Justice, and we will provided many films & lectures of all the different experience of human right movements in South Africa, Chzech, Eastern Europe, South America to let the young people in Taiwan learn more from all these hitories and support our own Transitional Justice and human right. We haven't gotten money from any parties to hold this event. It's not supporting any party, but asking all the parties in Taiwan support the ideols of this event and keep the human right movement rolling and stopped the hatred. Now we have successfully getting agreed from both governing party and opposition party. They have agreed that the ideal of this event is very important and both of them will pay more attention on Transitional Justice, Human Right, and stop the hatred.
