(把電視藏起來,但依舊掛著耳機) 只是,呃....有聽覺障礙. : Mr. Geller: What's the score? 比數怎樣? : Joey: Seventeen-fourteen Giants... three minutes to go in the third. 17比14巨人領先,還有三分鐘就要第三局了. : Mr. Geller: Beautiful! (Turns to watch with him) 水啦!(轉身跟他一起看) : (Time lapse. A large crowd of men are now watching the game) (時間經過,現在有一大群男人都在看球賽) : Rachel: (still trapped under Ross) Pheebs, could you maybe hand me a cracker? (仍舊被Ross困住)Pheebs,你能遞給我一塊蘇打餅嗎? : Mrs. Geller: (to Monica) Your grandmother would have hated this. (對Monica說)你外婆會恨這個. : Monica: Well, sure, what with it being her funeral and all. 嗯,對啊,這是她的喪禮 *我不是很確定要怎樣翻with it being...and all, 這只是強調用法,拿掉也通的* : Mrs. Geller: No, I'd be hearing about : 'Why didn't I get the honey-glazed ham?', : I didn't spend enough on flowers, : and if I spent more she'd be saying : 'Why are you wasting your money? I don't need flowers, I'm dead'. 不是,我會聽到像是 "為什麼我沒有蜜汁火腿?" 我花在花上的錢不夠多, 然後要是我真的多花錢她又會說 "你為什麼要浪費錢?我不需要花,我都死了" : Monica: That sounds like Nana. 那聽起來的確像姥姥 *Nana這稱呼有點像某些外省人的"姥姥"* : Mrs. Geller: Do you know what it's like to grow up with someone : who is critical of every single thing you say? 你知道跟一個老是斤斤計較細節的人生活是什麼樣子嗎? : Monica: ...I can imagine. ....我可以想像. : Mrs. Geller: I'm telling you, it's a wonder your mother : turned out to be the positive, life-affirming person that she is. 我跟你說,你媽媽能這麼正面,這麼積極生活,實在是個奇蹟. : Monica: That is a wonder.
