Brief comments
1.Yoblonskaya, a world-class performing!! precise, persuasive, and perfect.
2.Prof. Yei, beautiful sound, astonishing skill, however
couldnt go well with the orchestra (or should say the orchestra lost
track of the music occasionally)
3.Havent listened to Shostakovich's concerto till last night, was
interested in the arrangement of the orchestra, no other brasses
except a single trumpet.
(which means the solo had to be impressive, and he did.)
4.Was deeply moved by the encore of Schubert-Liszt Gretchen am Spinnrade
from 12 Lieder, G/S558, No.8, got a review today, and still amazed that she
played better in live than in the record.
5.As for the audience last night...well...cant complain about them more.
Twice of the ringing cell phone, and twice of falling coins on the ground.
AND!! One BEATING metronome!! who the xell was that? A student?
Sigh...
Nevertheless, it was still a marvelous night.
